BH-01: Bone Conduction Headphones!

XP presents the first bone conduction headphones designed for metal detecting: the BH-01. Made in France by XP, they are IP68 waterproof to 20m, allowing you to dive with your DEUS II or use your detector in very noisy environments. With ordinary waterproof headphones, hearing is often degraded underwater as the ear fills with water. The BH-01 sits in front of the ears on the cheekbones and transmits sound directly to the inner ear via bone vibrations, without affecting the eardrums. This leaves your ears free.

In murky or noisy water, you can dive with earplugs to prevent infection or simply to better isolate yourself from noise. You will then hear sound perfectly via bone conduction while protecting your ears.

Caution: Use only special earplugs designed for diving that allow for pressure equalization. Never use standard earplugs, as they are dangerous for the ear canal, while diving.

You can also use these headphones on land, allowing you to hear your surroundings or, conversely, to isolate yourself from noisy environments, always using earplugs.

The BH-01 also allows the hearing impaired to feel the vibrations generated by targets near the cochlea, or simply the vibrations, depending on the type of hearing impairment. Adjusting the audio frequencies towards lower frequencies (100 to 300 Hz) can further improve perception, depending on the specific hearing loss.
